AHPG803: Greek Inscriptions
This unit will deal with inscriptions and texts, especially papyri, relating to early Christianity. The unit will also examine aspects of the production of New Testament books and non-canonical texts and the implications these have for our understanding of early Christianity. Palaeography and, codicology will also be covered. Knowledge of ancient Greek is not essential but helpful.
