ENGG813: Digital Signal Processing

Digital signal processing techniques play an increasingly important role in modern telecommunications systems. This unit provides an introduction to traditional and modern statistical discrete-time signal processing, including processing with second-, higher- and fractional lower-order statistics. Other topics include sampling and multirate signal conversion; linear prediction and optimum linear filters; least squares methods for system modelling and design; theory and applications of adaptive filters; and applications in signal and image processing and analysis.
